Adventure 4WD, Inc. (formerly Let's Go Jeepin) is an Illinois corporation that was founded in June 1999 that currently operates in Hanover, New Hampshire. A4WD is a small business solely owned by Dora Fang. In 1999, we partnered with the Badlands Off-Road Park in Attica, Indiana to offer 4x4 sport utility owners in the Midwest a fun, safe, and effective way to learn about their vehicle, understand trail safety and etiquette, and develop better driving skills.  Developments have included the addition of parts and recovery gear sales in the 2000 season, and the addition of intermediate level and adventure outings in the 2001 season.  Since late 2001, A4WD has primarily focused on the vehicle outfitting business.  In August 2003, Dora moved the business to Hanover, New Hampshire where she is pursuing a Masters in Business Administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Adventure 4WD has been written up in 4 Wheel Drive and Sport Utility, the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine, Road and Track's Open Road, Travel Holiday, Crain's Chicago Business, United Four Wheel Drive Association's Voice, jeepwire.com, jjournal.net, moab-offroad.com, truckworld.com, and more!

Dora is a certified Chief Instructor for United Four Wheel Drive and is certified by the American Red Cross and Wilderness Medical Associations in First Aid, CPR, and Wilderness First Aid. She drives a 2001 Solar Yellow Jeep® Cherokee and went four wheeling for the first time at the Pine Barrens Jeep® Jamboree a few years ago with tow hooks (only because they were mandatory on the trip, they were installed the night before she left for the trip) and a tow strap. The event was the most fun she could remember having in many years, even though she submerged her then brand new 1997 Cherokee in water up to the hood! The camaraderie and fun she had with the people she met changed her life.

Upon returning to Washington, DC, she met some experienced jeepers at a parts store who took her under their wing and taught her basic four wheeling skills (thanks George and JR!). That summer, every other weekend was spent throughout the backcountry of Maryland and Virginia. She joined a four wheel drive club, signed on to a few email lists, and the rest is history!

To date, she has been four wheeling in Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Utah, Colorado, Missouri, and Kentucky. On her wish list of place to go are the Las Cruces, New Mexico, Rubicon Trail in California, the mountains in Colorado, and Tellico near Murphy, North Carolina. She stays active and involved in the following clubs, organizations, lists, and forums:

  • United Four Wheel Drive Association
  • Indiana Four Wheel Drive Association
  • Tread Lightly! Outfitter Member
  • SEMA Business Member
  • XJ list sponsored by Off-road.com
  • XJ list hosted by wagoneers.com
  • Jeep-L
  • the ZJ, short wheel base, jeep tech, and more lists...
Today, she drives her Cherokee just about anywhere and has been given the CB handle and nickname of "Dora-ble". You will always find her on trail with her dog "Anna Belle" and the memory of their buddies "Samantha" who went to doggie heaven July 1999 and "Sugar Bear" who went to doggie heaven December 2002.
